The head of the Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (CPG Office on National Security) Mr Zheng Yanxiong paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Tang Ping-keung on June 24.

The Commissioner and Mr Zheng discussed a wide range of issues covering the national security situation in Hong Kong and the challenges faced by the Force in safeguarding national security. Mr Zheng visited and exchanged views with officers of the National Security Department (NSD) of the Force. CPG Office on National Security gained a better understanding on the Force and NSD through the visit.

CPG Office on National Security will continue to support Hong Kong in performing duties for safeguarding national security and deterring acts endangering national security.
