The Force Working Group on Community Engagement (FWG) held the third half-yearly meeting with the Federations of Parent-teacher Associations (FPTAs) at the Kowloon East Regional Headquarters on April 19. Hosted by Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Siu Chak-yee and Director of Operations Kwok Yam-yung, the meeting was attended by over 30 chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of the FPTAs.
In the meeting, Chief Superintendent of Crime Wing Headquarters Chung Wing-man and Chief Inspector of the Family Conflict and Sexual Violence Policy Unit Cheung Po-yuet gave presentations on youth-related crimes. The parents showed keen interest in learning about the crime situation related to youth offenders and underage victims, and pledged to share anti-crime information with their fellow members in their respective PTAs to assist the Force in child and juvenile protection. After the meeting, the representatives of FPTAs visited the New Generation Report Room of the Ngau Tau Kok Divisional Police Station.
