On May 18, the Complaints Against Police Office (CAPO) and the Police College co-organised a seminar of the Management Development Programme (MDP) at the Police Headquarters and invited the then Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC) Dr Anthony Francis Neoh to speak on the topic of “Leadership in Public Service”.
In a dialogue session with Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Tsang Yim-sheung, Dr Neoh shared with the audience his background, avenue to success, values as well as anecdotes and challenges he encountered during his tenure as IPCC Chairman. In addition to sharing his insights on handling controversial issues as a leader, Dr Neoh also offered advice to the Force regarding its future development and encouraged Force members to continue to serve Hong Kong with honour, duty and loyalty. Members and the Secretary-General of IPCC also attended the seminar to share their views and consideration on vetting complaint cases.
Upon conclusion of the seminar, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Kwok Yam-shu and Director of Management Services Lam Hiu-tong presented Dr Neoh with a souvenir in appreciation of his inspiring sharing.
The seminar attracted over 220 officers of inspectorate rank or above, while officers from New Territories North Region and New Territories South Region joined the seminar through live streaming at their respective regional headquarters.
