To support the Force’s Strategic Direction of “Embracing the use of technology for policing in the digital age” and strengthen the use of digital platforms, the Information Systems Wing (ISW) has introduced a new internal video sharing platform “P-TV”.
ISW has set up dedicated channels for all major Formations to share their videos relating to training, policy briefing, personnel, welfare, and other useful information. Designated officers of formations are authorised to upload videos to the platform. So far, about 900 videos, including restricted level videos, have been uploaded to P-TV.
For the convenience of quick search, P-TV will select videos on hot topics on a regular basis and the videos will be available in five channels namely Hotpick Channel, Knowledge Channel, Story Channel, Personnel & Service Channel and Formation Channels. Officers can access P-TV via the Departmental Portal and Force-issued smart devices. Officers can also watch non-restricted videos using POINT from Home at a later stage.
To further promote P-TV, ISW and Service Quality Wing have co-organised a P-TV “I am a Cop” short film competition to enhance officers’ sense of belonging. All regular and auxiliary officers as well as civilian staff members are welcome to participate in this competition.
