Mentors of the Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) organised two activities for over 70 mentees to enhance their understanding of the training of probationary inspectors and the nature of police work.
On March 27, Superintendent of the Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) cum mentor of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Soo Wan-lok arranged a visit to the HKPC for the mentees. During the visit, probationary inspectors under training introduced the campus facilities and their daily training routine to the mentees. Under the guidance of physical training instructors, the mentees also underwent a series of physical tests to get a taste of the challenging training.
On April 11, the then Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) of Kowloon East Region cum mentor of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Foo Yat-ting held an Extended Interview Workshop for the mentees, followed by a visit to the Emergency Unit of Kowloon East.
