To motivate Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme (AUS) members serving in Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) and Kowloon City District (KCDIST) to join the Force upon graduation, SSPODIST kicked off “Project TORCH @ Sham City” with a sharing session on January 31.

Four Detective Inspectors cum former auxiliary members from SSPODIST and KCDIST, namely Chu Nga-ting, Cheung Hiu-lam, Tong Ho-ting and Yeung Chun-yu, shared their experience of joining the Force with 15 participants, including AUS members and mentees of Police Mentorship Programme Outreach (PMPO). The Head of the United Kingdom Chapter of PMPO, Superintendent Cheng Chun-kit, was also invited to introduce police work to the participants. Future events, including a job shadowing programme, will be organised to give the participants a better understanding of the duties of inspectors.
