New Territories South Region

The Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories South (RCPO NTS) has launched “Project eSecuNet” since 2014 to disseminate anti-crime information to the public through various media platforms. Under the Project, RCPO NTS held a security information seminar for the retail industry on January 21.

More than 20 representatives from different department stores, supermarkets, chain stores and security companies attended the seminar, during which RCPO NTS officers briefed them on the crime figures and analysed the modus operandi of thieves. Suggestions on security measures were also given according to the needs of different stakeholders, in order to guide them to step up security and help the Police fight against crime. The participants were also updated on the latest types of scam.

The Police reminded shopkeepers to store their goods properly, lock valuable items in cabinets and not to leave a large amount of cash in the shop overnight. Representatives from different companies also shared some real cases and tips on security measures and crime prevention at the seminar.
