The brand new media briefing room of the Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) has come into service upon completion of the refurbishment project. Taking into account past experience of holding press conferences and comments from different stakeholders, PPRB has upgraded the equipment and facilities of the media briefing room with a view to providing better experiences to presenters and media representatives.

In order to enhance the user experiences, a frameless high-definition digital wall (10 metres wide and 1.5 metres high) is dividable into various layouts, which is conducive to the communication between media representatives and presenters.

In addition, two 86-inch digital interactive boards are installed in the photo-taking zone to display crime prevention and police messages, photos or videos so as to enable media representatives to capture key messages.

Moreover, the media briefing room is equipped with an embedded ceiling microphone system with sound quality improved. Media representatives can communicate with presenters on the stage without using a microphone.

The newly-designed briefing desk is equipped with three 24-inch all-in-one touch screen computers which enable the presenters to browse presentation materials and control the digital wall. Also, the depth of the desk is doubled to 90 centimetres that allows presenters to place their briefing folders and use their computers at the same time.

To prevent the media briefing room from overcrowding, a live feeding television is installed at the press reception area so that media representatives and supporting staff of the Force can watch the press conference simultaneously at the press reception area.

Please contact PPRB Newsroom at 2860-6100 for holding a press conference at the media briefing room.
