Between December 14 and 19, 2020, the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East Region (RCPO KE) mounted an anti-burglary operation with Tseung Kwan O District, Wong Tai Sin District, Sai Kung Division and Police Tactical Unit of KE to step up publicity efforts and conduct high-profile patrol in Sai Kung and Clear Water Bay Road area in Tseung Kwan O with a view to strengthening the security in the community.

During the operation, officers conducted high-profile anti-crime patrol at multiple burglary black spots identified according to crime trends and intelligence analysis. They also visited approximately 90 villages to distribute leaflets and burglar alarms. Villagers were encouraged to install smart closed-circuit television systems with instant mobile phone security alerts and they were reminded of the importance to look out for their neighbours and to report any suspicious persons to the Police in a timely manner. In the process, banners and posters were also displayed in prominent areas to enhance residents’ awareness of burglary prevention.
