The Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) published an anti-deception comic booklet in October to illustrate three prevalent deception modi operandi, including “Pretend Officials” and “Guess Who” telephone deceptions as well as low-interest loan scams, in order to raise the anti-scam awareness of the public. Officers of RCPO KE put the booklets into mail boxes at lobbies of residential buildings across the Region so as to extend the reach of anti-deception publicity.
