Kowloon West (KW) Region has been organising “Best Security Services Awards” since 2001 to enhance security and guarding services in the Region. With the huge support from the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC), the event has attracted the active participation from the industry over the past years.

In view of the cancellation of the presentation ceremony of “Best Security Services Awards 2019” amid the COVID-19 outbreak, arrangements were made for the winners or their representatives to receive the awards in September.

On October 7, HKAPMC President Dr Chan Chi-kau, KW Regional Commander Rupert Dover and KW Deputy Regional Commander Ho Yun-sing presented awards to one gold award winner and two silver award winners of the “Best Security Services Awards 2019”.

The gold award winner, a security guard of a housing estate, actively assisted the Police in arresting the culprit of a theft case at the estate; whereas one of the bronze award winners from the hotel industry spotted a female using a forged Identity Card. The winners demonstrated professionalism and passion for their work.

Mr Dover thanked property management companies and frontline security personnel for standing fast at their posts during the social incidents over the past year to work together with the Police to protect the life and property of the public.
