Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) held an online seminar for non-ethnic Chinese members of “Project Gemstone” who wish to join the civil service on August 15. The seminar aimed at rendering academic support to project members to better prepare them for sitting the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) held by the Civil Service Bureau, as well as enhancing their Chinese proficiency and interview skills.

Two graduates of “Project Gemstone”, namely Inspector Bharat Devanani of Marine West Division and former summer intern of YTDIST Rani, shared their experiences and strategies in taking the CRE with fellow “Project Gemstone” members. The members appreciated the seminar which enabled them to prepare for the CRE via online platform amid the epidemic.
