As Project TOGETHER has entered its third phase, the Traffic Branch Headquarters (TBHQ) has displayed a giant wall banner in Mong Kok since August 27 to promote road safety among the elderly and encourage all members of the community to look out for others.
Moreover, the TBHQ is conducting Project TOGETHER Street Art Campaign and inviting the public to draw wall paintings at designated locations to spread the message of elderly pedestrian safety. The TBHQ has already collected some wall painting designs and is conducting the assessment. If members of the public wish to display their creative drawing designs on the street and contribute to the road safety of Hong Kong, please email the designs to roadsafety-enquiry@police.gov.hk on or before October 9.
In addition, the TBHQ will collaborate with the Road Safety Council to organise the “Elderly Road Safety Product Design Competition”, with a view to enhancing the participants’ understanding of the elderly pedestrians’ needs regarding road safety. The outstanding designs of the competition will help promote road safety of elderly pedestrians in their daily lives in order to achieve the vision of “Zero Accidents on the Road, Hong Kong’s Goal”.
