The Welfare Services Group and a non-governmental organisation jointly held a workshop on August 27 for officers injured on duty in Operation TIDERIDER. The workshop provided a unique experience for the participants, followed by debriefing and sharing sessions.
The workshop was well received with positive feedback. The participants were deeply impressed by the workshop and they felt cared for and supported throughout the event. Apart from gaining a better understanding of the importance of self-reliance in adversity, mutual understanding and acceptance, the participants also learnt to cherish their health and people around them, and adopt a positive attitude in all circumstances. According to the evaluation questionnaires, the majority of the participants opined that the workshop was effective in reducing pressure as well as promoting sharing, mutual support and positive energy. The workshop will be re-run in October and all officers injured on duty are welcome to join the event.
