The Police Community Relations Office of Kowloon City District (KCDIST) and members of KCDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) have recently collaborated in designing a set of board game to re-engage with youths in the community. The board game was fully supported and funded by KCDIST JPC Honorary Presidents Council.

Using the concepts from worldwide classics such as “Monopoly”, “Ludo” and “Snakes and Ladders”, the board game was added with elements of distinguishing features of Kowloon City to bring a cordial feeling for the players. During the game, the players would encounter different incidents, such as temptations from bad peers and assisting the Police in fighting crime, through which they experience the possible traps in society and get to know the importance of cooperation between citizens and the Police in the fight against crime. The board game aims at raising the law-abiding awareness of youngsters through a soft approach, as well as encouraging them to join the JPC and fight crime together with the Police.

The board game was launched in July and distributed to KCDIST JPC members, local community organisations and over 50 primary schools in Kowloon City.
