A group of 90 police volunteers took part in Project Ultra Violite, jointly organised by Lingnan University and some social welfare organisations, to provide free and efficient UV disinfection services for sub-divided units using 30 UV disinfection devices developed by the University. During the project, police volunteers provided service to more than 330 sub-divided units and assisted the organiser to conduct three large scale door-to-door visits with a view to publicising hygiene knowledge among tenants of the buildings.

After the project was completed in late June, police volunteers extended the disinfection service to the Force. In July, disinfection service was provided to more than 25 units across the Force, including the staging areas at the Police Headquarters, Police Tactical Unit Headquarters, New Territories North Regional Headquarters, New Territories South Regional Headquarters, Auxiliary Police Force Headquarters, Kowloon East Operational Base, Shek Kip Mei Operational Base, Emergency Unit of Kowloon West; and the police stations including Central, Peak, Aberdeen, Stanley, Western, Chai Wan, Sham Shui Po, Cheung Sha Wan, Mong Kok, Wong Tai Sin, Tseung Kwan O, Kwun Tong, Tai Po, Border, Tsuen Wan, Sha Tin, Tin Sum, Ma On Shan and Marine North.
