The Force has partnered with Hong Kong Open TV to produce a police documentary entitled “Everlasting Mission”. From May 16, the programme is being broadcast on eight consecutive Saturdays at 11pm on Channel 77 of Hong Kong Open TV.


The fifth episode is about the Force Escort Group (FEG) and Traffic New Territories South (T NTS). The FEG is responsible for providing a high profile escort service to ensure the security of escort subjects and their timely arrival at destination. In this episode, FEG officers talk about their equipment, division of work, selection requirements and work experience. Meanwhile, T NTS officers introduce the 3D laser scanner, Automatic Number Plate Recognition System as well as enforcement operations against drink driving and drug driving.


The sixth episode features Border District (BORDIST) and the Police Dog Unit (PDU). In addition to anti-illegal immigration operations, BORDIST officers also introduce their defence line and the MacIntosh Fort. Meanwhile, dog handlers of the PDU talk about how to choose appropriate stray dogs to undergo training for police dogs, the daily duties of police dogs as well as how police dogs search for explosives and undergo tracing training.
