Assistant Commissioner (Support) Lam Hiu-tong appointed eleven new members, including one Chief Inspector, one Senior Inspector, one Inspector, three Sergeants and five Police Constables, of the Force Occupational Safety and Health Cadre (the Force OSH Cadre) and presented letters of appreciation to six senior members on May 27. As another new recruitment exercise since 2015, all new members who are holding relevant OSH professional qualifications ranging from diploma to master degree have been offered with the appointments after going through a series of internal selection, training and assessments.
Ms Lam and the Officer-in-charge of the Force OSH Cadre Lee Nga-lai, expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards all senior members for their determined efforts over the years, and hoped that new members would give fresh impetus to the Cadre, and to provide professional OSH training to Force members with a view to enhancing their awareness and maintaining a professional standard in safety management.
