The Police Licensing Office of Support Wing launched a "POE Knowledge Sharing Platform" on Police Intranet, POINT, in May to promote the Strategic Direction of "Supporting Frontline Units". This user-friendly one-stop database provides public event-related (POE-related) materials for frontline officers of Policy Wings, Bureaux and Regions.
A large amount of materials, collected from across the Force, have been incorporated into the platform. The materials cover the following aspects:
| Policy Procedure | - contains POE-related policies, documents, lines-to-take etc |
| Legal | - showcases legal advice, court judgements and appeals on POE |
| Regional Corner | - provides a platform for Regions to share experience and good practices in handling POE |
| Support | - provides supporting materials on POE, including experience sharing by officers, and stress management techniques |
| POE Statistics | - provides statistics relating to POE |
| Others | - contains links for access to POE-related Legislative Council Questions and other commonly used materials |
Officers can access the platform through the following channels on POINT: (i) the POINT Hexagon entitled "POE Knowledge Sharing Platform"; (ii) the website of the Police Licensing Office; (iii) the link embedded on Knowledge Management website; and (iv) the following link (http://point.hpf.gov.hk:8088/plo/).
The Police Licensing Office will approach Major Formations to seek new input and/or updates on a quarterly basis.
