A seminar relating to Information Security (InfoSec) Risks associated with computing equipment was held by New Territories South (NTS) InfoSec Monitoring Group on April 19, drawing a full house of over 100 InfoSec Ambassadors from different formations in the Region.

Chief Inspector Aubrey Siu and Senior Inspector Ma Kei-ling from the Information Systems Wing outlined the InfoSec Risks associated with computing equipment with reference to the Force Information Security Strategy and a three-pronged "PEER" approach - Protection & Prevention, Education & Culture, and Enforcement & Response. They also shared with the audience on how to safely access the information in POINT through the practice of "Bring Your Own Device".

Before the seminar came to a close, Superintendent Ng Lok-chun expounded the role and tasks of being an InfoSec Ambassador and encouraged all attendees to promote InfoSec and ways to avoid InfoSec incidents.
