Kowloon East (KE) Region hosted an information sharing session with over 100 secondary school principals, representatives of parent-teacher associations as well as Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call (SPC) honorary presidents on November 9.


Speaking at the session, KE Regional Commander Duncan McCosh stressed that the Force has all along maintained close liaison with the working partners so as to steer young people to stay clear of crime and drug, and raising the awareness of the elderly to reduce their chance of becoming victims of crime. Then officers from Crime KE, Operations KE, Traffic KE and Railway District briefed the participants on the trend of juvenile delinquency and gave an update of youth-related projects in the region. Superintendent Ng Chui-ting of the Police Public Relations Branch also introduced their services for youths and elders. Lastly, the officers discussed with the participants other youth and elderly affairs with a view to facilitating community policing.
