In a bid to boost officers' knowledge of financial investigation, Eastern District (EDIST) held a workshop for frontline officers on April 28 and invited Chief Inspector Kok Wai-shing of Financial Investigations Division and Senior Inspector Ma Chiu-ting of Joint Financial Intelligence Unit to share their expertise and experiences.

 

The guest speakers elucidated the applicable laws for investigation of money laundering cases, latest court cases, legal procedural requirements, and the difference between Production Order and Confiscation Order. They also shared their case experiences and offered advice on investigation skills. The workshop received a good response from over 60 officers.
