They were held during the past several months at three different venues, namely NTN Regional Headquarters, North District Community Centre and Yuen Long Community Hall, the NTN TSRO, Mr Ngan Cheuk-leung, told OffBeat.

"The classes and events, covering many activities ranged from baking and cooking, computer training, dancing and singing, to language training," said Mr Ngan, adding that the classes were attended by a total of 445 participants.

At the graduation ceremony of a toy bear making class in NTN Regional Headquarters last month, one of the participants said: "Besides learning how to make toy bears in the classroom, we also acquire satisfaction knowing that some of the toys would be donated to children in hospitals."

"As the activities were very successful, we intend to extend the project for a further year by conducting other healthy lifestyle classes in all Police districts of the Region," Mr Ngan added.
