The Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) held an activity under the Blue Moon Sharing Series in the Police Headquarters on May 24. Regional Commander of Kowloon East Dr Law Yuet-wing (RC KE), Deputy Regional Commander of New Territories South Yeung Man-pun and Superintendent of Operations Wing Chow Wing-yee were invited to share with more than 50 participants the benefits they acquired from attending the development programmes in Singapore and visiting the Singapore Police Force (SPF).


RC KE, who had attended the Public Service Programme organised by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, shared his insights into various issues, including administrative leadership, policy management and technology development. Yeung Man-pun shared his experience in strategic management and application of innovative technology that he acquired from a Management Development Course at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Chow Wing-yee, who led a ten-member delegation to visit the SPF and INTERPOL Singapore Branch last year, shared what she had learned from the exchange on policing work experience and best practices.


In addition, HKPC held a sharing session of the “Intellectual 40m Series” at the Force Library on June 14. The theme of the session was Diagnosis of Rare and Uncommon Diseases. Professor Lam Ching-wan of the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong briefed the officers on rare and uncommon diseases, as well as the means of early detection and prevention of such diseases. The activity was held both offline and online, with over 40 officers attending in person and more than 120 officers participating online on the Aberdeen campus of HKPC and in various Regions.
