Recently, it is not hard to find the appearance of a new member of the Police Tactical Unit (PTU) around the PTU Headquarters. He has created quite a stir, especially in the recent PTU passing-out parade when he first appeared on the parade ground. We are very delighted to introduce this new PTU member, the Special Tactical Bear (STB)!

In the past, the Special Tactical Contingent (STC) had appeared at the forefront of many major operations and public events, including Operation TIDERIDER. Whilst maintaining law and order in Hong Kong, the STC fully demonstrated its fearlessness, professionalism and devotion to duty.

Even though STB is cute and approachable, he also portrays his tough and brave side by wearing a specially made STC uniform and equipped with realistic gear. STB shoulders the important responsibility of being the community ambassador to convey positive messages to the public.

In the future, STB will take part in various community events, with a view to engaging with the community, enhancing the public’s understanding of PTU duties, as well as building up trust and support of the public. Stay tuned to his latest events and meet him in person!
