The Road Safety Team of Traffic New Territories North (NTN) kicked off a publicity campaign with the First Aid Bicycle Team of New Territories Region of St John Ambulance Brigade at the cycling track outside Tai Po East Fire Station on February 19 to raise cyclists' awareness of safe cycling.

In addition to conducting patrols in the vicinity of the cycling track, the First Aid Bicycle Team would give tips on cycling safety to cyclists on weekends and public holidays. They would also set up a first aid booth and publicise their hotline outside Tai Po East Fire Station to offer first aid services to injured persons. Such value-added service would not only help reduce accidents, but also spare the time of ambulance fleets to handle more urgent cases.
