Blue Moon Series & Knowledge Cafe on Anti-pickpocket

The Police College ran a sharing session of the Blue Moon Series and a Knowledge Cafe on Anti-pickpocketing recently.

Regional Commander of Marine Region Lam Hiu-tong was invited to give a knowledge management session under the Blue Moon Series on December 15 about her overseas training experience. Being the 20th Force officer who attended a renowned one-year strategic management course at the Royal College of Defence Studies in Britain, Ms Lam shared her insights on international security and strategic management. The session helped to broaden the participants' international perspective.

On the other hand, over 200 officers gathered at the Police Headquarters on December 1 to learn more about anti-pickpocket tips via a microfilm and an experience sharing session at a Knowledge Cafe. The microfilm, "Lo Man", was jointly produced by the Police College, Railway District (RAILDIST) and Mong Kok District (MKDIST) to enhance officers' understanding of the modus operandi and characteristics of pickpockets, and help them to grasp the keys of concealing their police identity, identifying pickpockets and making arrest.

After the film show, Station Sergeant (Operations) of RAILDIST Man Tat-fai who is a Peer Adviser on anti-pickpocketing, Chief Inspector (Crime) 2 of MKDIST Wong Tak-choi as well as Sergeant Yu Kin-shing and Police Constable Yeung Wing-kam of the Task Force Sub-unit of RAILDIST shared their experience and demonstrated anti-pickpocket tactics.
